  13. Longaberger Company and programming is the property of The 
  14. Longaberger« Company; both are protected by United States copyright
  15. law and international treaty provisions. You may not rent, lease, 
  16. or sell copies of the Software; further you may not alter or use 
  17. images contained in the Software for any other purpose than that for
  18. which they were intended. 
  19. Title and copyrights to the Software and any copy made
  20. by you remain with The Longaberger« Company. Unauthorized copying
  21. of the Software, or failure to comply with the above restrictions
  22. will result in legal prosecution with civil or criminal penalties. 
  23. The purchase price of this software gives you the right to use it
  24. on ONE computer at a time.

  26. Note: Although the screen saver will run on systems capable of 
  27. displaying only 256 colors (Super VGA/SVGA), the quality of 
  28. display is enhanced greatly on systems capable of supporting 
  29. 16-bit ("thousands of colors", "High Color") or 24-bit ("millions 
  30. of colors", "True Color"). The quality of display also depends 
  31. on the resolution at which your system is set; the higher the 
  32. resolution, e.g. 1024 x 768 as opposed to 640 x 480, the higher 
  33. quality of display. A good display resolution is 800 x 600 with 
  34. 16-bit color. To change these settings, open the Display control
  35. panel (from the Start menu, select Settings, then Control Panel,
  36. then double-click Display; then click on the Settings tab, and
  37. change Colors to True Color-32 bit or High Color-16 bit).

  39. Our installer program will make Reflections 2002 your default
  40. screen saver. If you want to change the general screen saver
  41. settings, this is also done via the Display control panel, under
  42. its Screen Saver tab. In particular, you can specify how many
  43. minutes if inactivity must pass before the screen saver starts.

  69. Install Instructions:

  71.   1) Place CD into CD ROM drive.
  72.   2) Double-click on My Computer
  73.   3) Double-click on the icon for your CD-ROM drive.
  74.   4) Double-click the Install icon.
  75.   5) When prompted, enter the 5-digit password included in the packaging of your Screen Saver.
  76.   6) When the Install Screen Saver dialog appears, click the Install button.

  79. Viewing Instructions:

  81.   1) After viewing the Readme file, close it.
  82.   2) Reflections 2002 is now your default screen saver!
  83.      To review/change your Windows screen saver settings:
  84.     - Click the START button to open the Start menu.
  85.     - In the "Settings" sub-menu, select "Control Panel".
  86.     - Double-click the Display icon.
  87.     - In the Display Properties window, click on the Screen 
  88.       Saver tab.
  89.   3) Check the screen saver title to ensure that your new screen 
  90.      saver is selected.
  91.   4) Adjust the screen saver settings as desired, changing minutes, 
  92.      or by clicking the Settings button.
  93.   5) Preview your new "Reflections 2002" by clicking the 
  94.      Test or Preview button. 
  95.      *IMPORTANT*  Like any screen saver, the slightest movement of the
  96.      mouse will turn it off.  When previewing "Reflections 2002", 
  97.      do not move the mouse after you click the Preview (or Test)
  98.      button until you are through previewing it.

  123. 1. General
  124.  
  125.    
  126.    1.1 "Reflections 2002" fails to install.
  127.  
  128.     If "Reflections 2002" install program fails to function 
  129.     correctly from the CD ROM, it is either defective 
  130.     or damaged.  If the disk was transported in airline 
  131.     carry-on baggage, it may have been damaged at the airport 
  132.     security checkpoint.

  134.     
  135.    1.2 "Reflections 2002" seems to foul up long printouts or other 
  136.        batch jobs on my computer. 
  137.  
  138.     If you observe this problem, disable "Reflections 2002" 
  139.     before beginning the batch job or long printout.  
  140.     Some software applications and/or hardware platforms 
  141.     have conflicts with screen saver applications.
  142.  
  143.    1.3 "Reflections 2002" seems to take a long time to recover when 
  144.        I move the mouse to try to begin using my computer again.  
  145.            
  146.     The image decompression software is very memory-intensive.
  147.     In order to properly return control to the system, that
  148.     memory must be deallocated.  On some older machines,
  149.     this can be a slower process.

  151.    1.4 "Reflections 2002" kicks out after only one or two images.

  153.     Most likely, the mouse has moved imperceptibly. "Reflections 2002"
  154.         is particularly sensitive to mouse movements.
  155.     We recommend that during an initial test run of "Reflections 2002" 
  156.         you run it with the mouse resting upside-down to avoid motion.

  162. 2. Windows
  163.  
  164.     2.1 I get a message that reads "Warning! Memory Low!" scrolling 
  165.         across the screen.  
  166.  
  167.     Verify that Windows is managing your swap space for
  168.     you, and that the hard disk drive is not full. Windows
  169.     uses a dynamic swapfile configuration based on the
  170.     local hard disk, and there must be space available.
  171.  
  172.     2.2 The image appears pixilated and rough-edged.
  173.  
  174.     The images in "Reflections 2002" are designed for an 
  175.     optimum display size of 800x600.  In order to convert to a higher
  176.     default resolution (i.e., 1024x768 or greater) the
  177.     decompressor must upsample the data.  We recommend that if
  178.     your primary concern is maximum image quality within
  179.         "Reflections 2002", keep the display at 800x600.  
  180.         Otherwise, set the display resolution at whatever feels most
  181.         comfortable for your everyday operations.

  183.      2.3 Many of the colors in the image are missing.
  184.  
  185.     Verify that your display settings are at least 256-color.
  186.     Look in the CONTROL PANEL, under the DISPLAY icon, to view
  187.     your display properties window.  In the display properties
  188.     window, click on the SETTINGS tab and check your color palette
  189.     settings.  If your display settings are at 16-colors, you
  190.     will not be able to view the images correctly.  Contact your 
  191.     local computer store or the computer manufacturer for 
  192.     assistance in properly upgrading your graphics driver to 
  193.     256-colors or higher.
